Can you interface with both customers and permit offices nationwide? Are you able to juggle and organize multiple projects at once without losing your head?
As a Sign Permit Specialist you will be responsible to manage and process all applications for sign permits, ensure that all code regulations are met in the design proofs, request corrections and changes as necessary, and persistently follow up with local permit offices to submit information and obtain status on project permits.
THE POSITION
We’re looking for a Sign Permit Specialist that is detail-oriented, organized, courteous, persistent, FUN, fast, and willing to learn. Hourly range starting at $20-$25 with benefits – depending on experience – and bonus potential per successful permit.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain permitting standards from local permit offices for sign projects.
- Communicate with local permit offices to understand local building codes and unique permitting requirements.
- Read and understand local building codes pertaining to job location.
- Communicate local building codes and restrictions with Sales / PM and Design department to translate local building codes to quotes and designs.
- Work with customers to obtain all required documents for permit applications.
- Complete and submit permit applications along with necessary documents in a timely manner.
- Coordinate inspections if required by local municipality.
- Keep track of permits and persistently follow up with local permitting offices and customers.
- Coordinate with Design / Sales to ensure that project proofs/maps are accurate.
- Communicate with Sales and Project Managers on permit status and final approval.
